The Story Behind Azure Design Studio

Azure Design Studio was created from a deep appreciation for how environments shape the way people live, connect, and experience everyday life.

Before transitioning into interior design, Alicia Ortiz, founder and lead designer,  spent more than two decades working as a Speech-Language Pathologist. That experience centered on listening carefully, understanding individual needs, and helping people communicate and thrive within their environments.

Over time, a similar insight began to emerge when observing the spaces people live in: our surroundings influence how we feel, how we interact with others, and how comfortably we move through daily life.

This realization sparked a deeper interest in interior design and the role that thoughtful environments play in supporting well-being and connection.

Today, Azure Design Studio brings together these perspectives, careful listening, thoughtful problem solving, and a deep understanding of how people interact with their surroundings, to create interiors that feel both refined and natural to live in.
